Lane & Epworth F.C. are a football club based in Aylestone, Leicestershire
& were formed from
an amalgamation of Friar Lane Old Boys and Epworth F.C. in May 2004.
The home ground is at Knighton Lane East, Leicester
History
as an amalgamation is short but Friar Lane Old Boys are steeped in tradition,
twice reaching the FA Vase semi finals in the 70's.
In 2004, Friar Lane Old
Boys F.C. and Epworth F.C. merged to form the present club. They have
reached the second round of the FA Vase twice in their short history.
For
the 2006-07 season, Friar
Lane & Epworth F.C.
are members of the Midland Football Alliance.
The first team and
reserves both play in Orange/Black Shirts, Black Shorts, Orange Socks.
